These are the three rules of building a great organization. Lately, I've been using it to build a purposeful life.

Weighted Application Blanks (WAB)

WAB provides a means of identifying certain aspects. We can assign weights to each item according to its predictive power. This week I put more weight into my readings. I took good notes and came to class with questions. It felt so good. I was not only prepared but I poured more energy into something. Proud (like wearing my Howard Mom shirt while teaching my niece and nephew about their history)(" So Tia people treat people wrong just b/c of the color of their skin").

Reliability

This term gets thrown around all day in my PhD program. Reliability distinguishes b/n effective and ineffective groups. I listened to SJR today and she talked about aligning our impact with our intention. We not only have to be consistent with what we do but take ownership of how it makes people feel. She said, "Maybe our ears aren't wrong but our mouths are". Sit and think about it cause just I did.

Liability Holds with the Person with the Info

Info is power. Don't let the illusion of power distract you from who really has it. A: God but next up, us. I didn't come into this program with a master's degree but I did come with a hunger to learn, ambition to face this challenge, and a new pretty iPad, thanks Dad (honestly I could've done w/out it but me like :)).

Don't Miss Your Mark

I can't miss it b/c you missed it. Other marks left me bitter, heartbroken, etc. Better yet, I focus on God's mark. The enemy will try to go to war, trying to keep me stagnant. Too bad I don't try.

Do or Do Not, There is No Try- Star Wars

God corrected me y'all. I prayed for forgiveness over 'tryers' (just made it up) and myself. Long story short I was discussing my PRP (Proposed Research Proposal) & a spirit came alive. Yes, I was standing, nodding my head, and felt that this could be impactful. After all the missing-the-mark and hittin it; look at me proposing some impactful shi. I realize that God knew I could have intentions, shoot Ik it. He is commanding me to be impactful. Pray for me because this will not be easy but God sets the mark, I'm just walking towards it.
