The Purpose of the Methods Section

Yall remember that whiteboard with a whole bunch of sticky notes and writing... welp if you don't refer to the Intro to the Mf Intro Blog.

A couple weeks since then and I've received my grade back. I got a 37/40 :) Now with the final weeks here, it is time to add some more shi. This section is to have reliability, validity, and replicability.

Step by Step

The detailed description has to be precise. In order for someone to reproduce they have to be able to tell them about the participants, materials, procedure, analytic strategy, and limitations.

Empty Your Cup

In technical terms, we can't reproduce without emptying our cup. This means that to replicate we have to lose sight of our own participants, materials, procedure, analytic strategy, and limitations. I was watching the movie 2012 this weekend and a character said:

To see the light of wisdom you must first empty your cup. Your cup is full of speculations and opinions.

As for you, be fruitful and multiply;Populate the earth abundantly and multiply in it - Genesis 9:7

Know that you know you have Fruit

The way you know you have the fruit of the Spirit is when you can love those you don't like. Mhmm I felt it and don't like it and felt it some more. Loving like that is God's love. His love has to come without bias, hate, or any evil spirit that keeps us from replicating God's love.

The Devil is a Liar

Even when we don't know the details of our methods section, we still have opportunities to know what not to do. As the subheading says, the devil is a liar. So it is valid to say that where the Devil speaks, he lies. If he says:

-You can't read: Go get a PhD that consists of at least 300 pages a week (give or take).

& the list can go on. Going against the Devil and even my own thoughts (the Devil's work) has opened doors I never imagined I would be in. I believe if we all can just be a cup, then God will do the filling- pouring- overflooding.
