I Surrender

In psychology, laissez-faire is a type of leadership. This type of leader believes in being hands-off towards its followers allowing them to make decisions. I felt this beyond psychology. Whether it's deciding to sleep in or be productive, fast food or chicken and salad for the fifth day of the week, to stay or go, to suffer or heal, to carry it or give it to God. As indecisive as I am, I choose him. God I surrender. I am hands-off of my pain, confusion, doubt, insecurities, fears, and expectations. Give everything to him because he is everything. He is all we need. As much as the leader had to decide to give his subordinates the decision, so did we. We have to decide to put our hands up high.

Minimal Direction

God won't miss and neither will we when we get there. Giving it to him, imma give the rest of this blog to Sarah Jakes Roberts SJR. So, here are some quotes from SJR's book, All Hope is Found (ch7):

I want you to begin to speak like the person you're hoping to become, not the person you invented to survive. -SJR
I wish you had experienced better.
I hope you're at a place where you can give yourself the better you deserve.
Heaven hears what your heart is whispering.
...if God is willing, your heart is still open to receive what you're afraid to want.
...but now you've reached a stage where what you really desire is to partner with the most divine version of who you are.
God is going to give you new desires as He introduces you to the you He's known.
Your strength is in the integrity of your being
It's time for you not just to own your hope but declare it.

God I ...

  • surrender.

  • thank you.
